Risk and you

This is the post excerpt.

Operational Risk Management is my core strength in my professional life.  What I always wonder – do I practise in my personal life or see people practising what I preach and practise in terms of operational risk in professional set-up.  Many times, I feel the answer is big NO.  Through this blog,  I want to share my own experiences where I have miserably failed in managing the operational risk in my personal life.  I also intend to reflect upon the events / issues / problems which I see and comment on how greater consciousness about operational risk could help in better managing these issues.  It’s a beginning of a long journey together.  I feel sharing of these experiences will help Operational Risk Managers’ community as well as students of this interesting subject.

I am Operational Risk Manager by profession in banking industry. However, I find it quite interesting to see how operational risk plays out in various areas of our personal lives. In addition, I love to see operational risk in action in social set-ups, politics, public institutions what not.
